Hello Kim,
Please be advised the college reopened on today and has resumed normal operating hours.
If I were registered to take a Maymester class that begins on May 12, and need to make my payment, how long do I have since this tragic incident occurred? I was not able to pay beforehand as planned and I am a high school student.
Good Afternoon Nilisha,
We were able to locate your specific account. Please check your email for a response.
Pathetic that after such a tragic event, that students are expected to come right back to school and take final exams that will determine whether you get to walk in graduation or not. Missed three days of class material yet I have to be tested on that material anyways. Cant properly study after trying to get into the right state of mind after experiencing an active shooter during school, then finding out that the poor girl who lost her life was in one of my classes! But as it relates to the instructors, their response is “oh well, we’re still having a final exam so hope you can pass.” Completely ridiculous that the campus wasn’t closed a week early and whatever your highest test grade was on a prior test was simply posted as your final and end the semester.
Thank you for sharing your feedback Tyler. We would like to ensure that all of our students have received the attention and support they need.
If you are currently experiencing issues related to final exams (or any academic related issues), please send an email to Pat Henry at phenry@dcccd.edu.
In the interim, if you are scheduled to walk at graduation, please note that you will still be allowed to do so as we work with you to address any issues or concerns.
Counseling services are also available at the Central Campus (in Room A311) Monday-Thursday from 8:00 a.m.- 5 p.m. and on Friday 8:00-4:30 p.m. Walk-ins are welcome.
