At the start of the Fall 2017 semester, North Lake College implemented a new Identification Badge (ID) Policy for the college community. We believe ID badges will help us know at a glance who is who, and add an extra feeling of security to buildings.
The policy requires all students to wear visible identification AT ALL TIMES they are on campus.
Who is required to wear the College ID Badge?
The ID Policy applies to all credit and continuing education students enrolled at North Lake College.
Why do I need it?
The Student ID Badge is official college identification. Student ID Badges are used to obtain access to college services — the library, computer labs, testing center, etc.
What if I forget to wear/bring my badge to campus?
You may be stopped and asked to identify yourself and your purpose on campus. You may be asked to retrieve your badge. You may be denied access to specific college services and/or activities.
How to Obtain Your North Lake Student ID Badge:

Which specific locations are we able to get the ID badges from other than North Lake? I am sorry, I am just not sure what the “North and South” campuses are.
Hello Nancy, badges are available at the Central Campus in the Library (Room L240). If you are unable to make it there, you can also get your badge at either the North Campus or the South Campus. Please click the links for hours of operation, maps, and phone numbers.
This is late but I was wondering if I have to get a new ID if I have classes at a different campus.
I currently have classes at North Lake but will be going to El Centro for other classes I need. Do I need to get a new ID for a different campus even if I am a DCCCD student and have a valid badge for one of the DCCCD campuses? I looked on the website regarding Student ID’s but couldn’t find this information.
Hi Gloria! No, you do not need another ID badge. The one you have is sufficient for all campuses.
What do you do if there isn’t a paid tuition receipt, but you are enrolled in dual credits would a high school ID be enough or how would I be able to get the badge that is needed?
Thanks for asking. You can bring a photo ID to the Student Resource Center at our Central Campus in room L240.
