Veterans-Only Hours at NLC Bookstore
This August 19, the North Lake College will hold a Veterans-Only afternoon, private bookstore hours just for NLC's student veterans. Aside from escaping the crowds, veterans will also receive one-on-one staff assistance and free refreshments.
Alpha Zeta Eta Wins 1st Place in Keep Texas Beautiful Conference

Ojaswee Giri Becomes a Cooke Scholar
Ojaswee is amongst 75 community college students from a competitive nationwide pool who were awarded. The Cooke scholarship is the largest private scholarship that funds students who have strong records of academic achievement shown by grades, leadership skills, awards, outstanding service to others and perseverance in the face of adversity.
NLC Students Are Helping NASA Reach Mars
Anh Tran, a North Lake alumnus, is leading a team of friends and North Lake grads in a bid to win NASA’s Micro-g NExT design competition. They are, as Tran says, “the ultimate underdogs”: NLC is one of just two community colleges in the contest, and none of the teammates were engineering students when they submitted their design. But this month Tran and his friends traveled to Houston to test a prototype, and they’re feeling confident.
