Network Website Launch

DCCCD has created a new network for all seven community colleges’ websites known as the Unified Student Experience (USE). NLC’s new site represents the hard (and fast) work of many staff from across the district, including the North Lake marketing and web teams.
Science Olympiad

The Science Olympiad focuses on improving the overall quality of science education, increase student interest in science, and provide both student and teacher recognition for outstanding achievement in science education.
Health Fair

Central Campus, Art Gallery
The health fair offers education regarding your physical and mental health. The fair will host more than 25 health services and is open to students, faculty, staff and the community.

DCCCD Male Initiative Summit

The summit brings minority males together from across the DCCCD with the purpose of impacting the lives of attendees by providing leadership development and self-development along with a collective challenge for men of color to rise up to the challenge of succeeding in college.
International Day

Take a trip around the world by joining the college in celebrating a variety of cultures with food, games, prizes and more.
Career Fair
Thursday, March 30
9:30 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Central Campus, Gymnasium
The fair provides students with over 75 employment opportunities. Hourly drawings for $200 scholarships will be available. The event is free to students and the community.
RecycleMania
Now – April 1
RecycleMania is a friendly competition over a 10-week period among colleges and universities in the United States to see which institution can collect the largest amount of recyclables per capita, the largest amount of total recyclables, or have the highest recycling rate. NLC was the national winner of the 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2015, and 2016 Waste Minimization competitions.
