The Dallas County Community College District will host the inaugural District-wide Homecoming celebration! That’s right, we are celebrating with students, alumni, staff, faculty, and community supporters all across the district. This family-friendly event will have food trucks, games, prizes, music, and tons of fun! Register for the event online.

Career Talk Tuesday

Each Tuesday, NLC’s Career Center hosts Career Talk Tuesday on Facebook Live. This edition will feature alumni and focus on their experiences at North Lake College and where they are now. And we’d love for you to participate! For more information on how you can join, contact NLC Senior Career Planning Specialist Crystal Larthridge. 
 

Participants will have an opportunity to ask questions, receive advice regarding careers, and suggest new topics. Information will be provided on topics such as building a targeted resume, the applicant tracking system, “Career Spotlight-NLC,” “Employer Highlight,” and more. Join First Year Advising & Career Development Tuesdays live on Facebook. Scholarship drawing will be held.

 
Fall Festival

In celebration of Halloween and DCCCD’s 2018 Homecoming Celebration, Student Life is hosting a fall festival for NLC alumni, students, employees, and the community in the courtyard and Student Life Center (H200) at the Central Campus. More details coming soon.
 
Distinguished Alumni and Pillar of the Community Awards

This ticketed event will celebrate the success of our alumni and will also feature an Employee-Alumni Award. Tickets can be purchased online.
 
Homecoming Basketball Game
4 p.m., Tuesday, November 6
Gymnasium, Central Campus
The North Lake College Blazers take on OnPoint Hoops Academy in this year’s homecoming game. Concessions and NLC merchandise will be available, and at 5:45 p.m. there will be a special alumni game featuring previous NLC Blazer basketball players.
