North Lake College’s art department features Body of Emotion, Body of Work from Tuesday, July 24 through Tuesday, August 7 in the Arena Theater (P239). Created by Kapil Dixit, the exhibit is open Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. – 8 p.m. and displays nude figurative paintings.
Dixit is a well acclaimed Nepalese visual artist regarded as a pioneer in introducing and promoting nude art in Nepal. He received his degree in Fine Arts from the University of Texas at Arlington and received the prestigious national Arkino Youth Art Award in 2014. Dixit is also passionate about social work and has been associated with various charitable and noble causes through his artwork.
An artist reception will be held on Monday, July 30 from 4:30 – 6 p.m. in the Arena Theater (P239).
