If you’re looking for an introduction to a career in criminal justice, a new North Lake College class can help open the doors to this growing profession.

Beginning this fall, North Lake College will offer Introduction to Criminal Justice, CRIJ 1301.

The all-new course is offered in daytimes and evenings, suitable for students with busy schedules. Students can sign up for classes on Mondays and Wednesdays from 12:30-1:50 p.m. or Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:45-7:05 p.m.

Why study criminal justice?

Criminal justice courses combine a practical, career-oriented path of study with an opportunity to examine questions of public policy, criminal behavior, rehabilitation, and law enforcement practices. Criminal justice courses also provide an education in interpersonal communication and ethical issues.

Graduates of criminal justice programs can find employment at a wide range of law enforcement agencies and legal sectors, including police departments, correctional facilities, state and federal investigators, and drug enforcement.
