North Lake’s semesterly sidewalk chalk art competition, Chalk It Up, returns on Thursday, October 17, 2019 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Participants will be creating their artwork on the sidewalk in front of the lake.
All students, employees and clubs are eligible to participate. If you’re interested in participating, download the entry form (PDF). The registration fee is $3 for an individual or $5 for a group of two to five people. Proceeds go to student art scholarships. Submit entry forms to art faculty member Brett Dyer (office G325H, bdyer@dcccd.edu) any time before the contest begins or bring the form on the day of before 3 p.m.
Chalk and pastels are provided, but participants may also bring their own chalk. The Fall 2019 theme is “There’s No Place Like HOMEcoming.” Prizes will be awarded to 1st, 2nd and 3rd places for individual and group entries. Prizes include gift cards, art gift bags, and gift certificates.
