In partnership with North Texas Veterans Administration Medical Services, the Veterans Mental Health Summit will take place from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. at Eastfield College’s Pleasant Grove campus on Sept. 17, and at the North Lake College main campus on Sept. 20.

The summit agenda both days will include a keynote speaker, three talk sessions, a resource fair and lunch for participants. The goal of the summit is to educate participants how to better attend to the mental health well-being of veterans, their families and other military-connected individuals.

The summit is free to attend and open to DCCCD students, North Texas VA staff and the greater community. DCCCD employees can sign up through myDCCCDsuccess to receive five hours of professional development credit or sign in at the event. Community members can register for the event through Eventbrite.
