North Lake College is seeking qualified professionals to teach courses in the following areas:
— Math and Developmental Math
— Biology
— Chemistry
— Physics
— Geology
— Environmental Biology
— Speech
— Music (French Horn)
— Choir
— English
— Developmental Reading and Writing
— ESL*
— Criminal Justice**
— Workforce Technology
Basic minimal requirements for all positions include a master’s degree and 18 graduate hours in the discipline the candidate is applying for. Some positions may require commuting to and teaching at multiple NLC campuses. Attendees should bring multiple copies of resumes and transcripts. No onsite copying available.
*Basic requirement for ESL (noncredit workforce courses): Associate degree with direct work experience in the specific content area or specific certification/licensure related to the assigned course(s) with direct work experience in the specific content area. Basic requirement for ESL (noncredit community-based courses): Associate degree or certification for the content area with direct work experience in the content area. Basic requirements for ESL (credit): Bachelor’s degree or higher in one of the following subjects; OR bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 18 undergraduate hours in a combination of the following subjects; OR master’s degree and 18 graduate hours in a combination of the following subjects: ESOL, English, Linguistics, Second Language Acquisition, Foreign Language, Bilingual Education, Reading and/or Writing Education, or Speech.
**Basic requirement for Criminal Justice: Master’s Degree and 18 Graduate Hours in Criminal Justice or Juris Doctor (JD) Degree.
